First Audio Recordings From the Bottom of the Mariana Trench.

Listen to the sound of the Deep Sea!

A NOAA-led study recently recorded these sounds from Challenger Deep, the deepest known point in the ocean.

One might expect that at 36,000 feet (10972 meter) beneath the ocean surface it is quite.

But besides the natural sound sources, there is almost constant noise from man-made sources.
